RIHANNA RELEASES STATEMENT
TMZ.com has posted photos of the POP/R&B singer that were taken right after the alleged assault that occured pre-grammy night. The “Umbrella” Singer reappeared on Thursday night heading to the LA Airport, her publicist also released the following statement
“At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown. She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time.”
According to an L.A.P.D. press release, an internal investigation has been launched into the matter.
“The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence,” it said.
These photos are clearly apart of evidence and should not have been released prior to trial, this may hurt the L.A. district attorney’s case. This is careless in my opinion on so many fronts, a victim doesn’t want to have a constant reminder by seeing her bruised face all over the media outlets, and no DA wants to have to try to explain why cops are leaking evidence.
The singer celebrated her 21st Birthday, February 20th, hopefully she was able to relax with family and friends.
