Not sure if this is true or not but according to Clayton News Daily, the 19 yr old rapper was arrested Wednesday night and released on $550 bond Thursday.

Deandre Cortez Way, of McDonough, also known as Soulja Boy Tell Em, or Soulja Boy, is charged with one count of obstruction of an officer.

Another man, 18-year-old Latice Wayne Grier, of Rockville, N.Y., is charged with forgery in the second degree, in connection with the case.

The incidents that resulted in the arrests took place at approximately 9 p.m., Wednesday. According to Henry County Police Sgt. Rene Swanson, officers responded to a call at 145 Tunis Drive in Stockbridge, in reference to several juveniles gathered at an abandoned house.

“There were approximately 40 people gathered behind the dark … house,” said Swanson. “Half of the people fled the area as the arriving officer called for back-up.”

Swanson said Way and the others at the scene were apparently filming a video at the house. Police have not determined the identity of the house’s owner, she said.

She added that, when authorities searched the area, they discovered a 9mm handgun in the glovebox of a white Lexus, which was parked in the driveway. She said, although police were unable to determine who owned the gun, they were able to link Way to the incident.

“A white Land Rover at the scene was identified as belonging to Way, who had fled the scene,” she said. “He returned a short time later, and [was] arrested for obstruction.”

Swanson said another vehicle, which was on the property, a Dodge Charger, contained eight counterfeit $100 bills. Grier, the vehicle’s owner, was charged with forgery at the scene and taken to the Henry County Jail, along with Way.

No additional arrests were made in the case, said Swanson.
