Rapper/Entrepreneur Jay Z was in London last week and stopped by and chatted with Jonathon Ross.

NEW YORK (Billboard) – Jay-Z, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have officially signed on as co-producers of “Fela!,” a musical about Nigerian Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti that opens Monday (November 23) on Broadway.

The news confirms weeks of speculation that the three would back the show.

A representative for “Fela!” did not specify the amount of the celebrities’ investment, but their endorsement alone gives the musical’s profile a significant boost just a week before its premiere.  Read more...

Rapper/CEO Jay Z responded to a disgruntled Beenie Sigel that is signed to Roc-a-Fella and appeared on many songs with Jay Z. The two were seen as close with the rise of Jay Z, Beenie Sigel represented Philly and the raw, street appeal of the Roc. Well the beef apparently went public at Philly’s Powerhouse concert October 23rd, in which Beenie Sigel was a guest of Rapper Jadakiss, and he did a freestyle in which he said “He runs this town tonight” a nudge at Jay Z. Well anyway days later to make sure it was clear that there was a beef he released a dis record as well as had an interview talking about the troubles between he and Jay Z.
